Excellent idea. Thanks very much for doing this. In the Morse Theory book the running head at the top of the page at the end of the book doesn't seem to have picked up the fact that there has been a change from Chapter 24 to the Appendix.
ReplyDeleteRegards - Michael
Dear Michael Murray, thanks for your comment. I have just retyped it, without changing.
DeleteI have done this just in a few days and it may have many errors and typos. If you found any, please leave a comment here. I also have a little hope to do the other books ... :( because I have received no donate until. If you know about any grant, I will be very happy. :)
Deletethis is awesome! could you post the tex file?
ReplyDeleteThank you Anonymous. Can I ask for what purpose you want the tex file?
DeleteBrilliant! Thanks for the great work.
ReplyDelete🙏🙏
DeleteWhy you need the .tex file?
ReplyDeleteLink to Morse Theory pdf is dead
ReplyDeleteI hope you have obtained permissions from the publishers, otherwise you might get in trouble. Otherwise very cool work!
ReplyDeleteHi, what are the software used by you for drawing different objects, like a torus, sphere?
ReplyDeleteTikZ. A LaTeX package.
DeleteIn Morse Theory, there is a typo on the first page of chapter 21, in the first centered formula. The original has both formulas in one line. The new version has a line break after L_\tau: G \to G, splitting the centered formulas into two lines.
ReplyDeleteI stumbled upon your site while looking for old oop math books to scan. I dunno if you're interested in typesetting any more, but I've scanned [Giovanni Sansone, Johan Gerretsen] Lectures on the Theory of Functions of a Complex Variable, Vol. 1: Holomorphic Functions [Noordhoff] and uploaded it to Archive.org. I also scanned [Albrecht Fröhlich] Algebraic Number Fields: L-Functions and Galois Properties: Proceedings of a Symposium (not yet uploaded).
ReplyDeleteYes we need those books
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI am currently translating an old book with illustrations and wondering what is the best practice to deal with them? Just screenshot them as is or somehow edit them?
Dear C.F.G, thank you for this effort, it is great work. I was wondering, is there a place where we can signal typos or contribute to make an erratum ?
ReplyDeleteHi. You can post it here directly if it is short or you can upload it in G-Drive or any public Drive then share the link of that erratum here.
